Rock Band 3, Ghost Hacker
I went over to a friend’s place to get the band back together, and got started with Rock Band 3, which is pretty awesome. The game completely reevaluated the way it handles goals; instead of a long and drawn out tour system, you have a relatively short challenge tour, in which you are asked to complete a small set of songs while trying to do certain challenges, such as activating your star power as much as possible, or maintain a long streak.
It also forgoes the money system from the first to a fan system, in which you try to get the most fans by completing goals. There are hundreds of these, based upon how well you can play each instrument and doing certain activities, like playing certain songs. There are even goals linked to the five other games that have been released in the Rock Band line so far, which is really neat. We played for maybe three to four hours, and I got to try all the new parts. I think the part that bothers me the most is how much of the game you can’t experience without certain hardware, such as the pro guitar, which required a special guitar to even use. But the fact that the layout and features are so much better makes these game very awesome.
Also played some tower defense game, why not. The only good thing I have to say about it is how transparent it is and you can only upgrade each tower a certain number of times. It was alright…but I just played for the badge. Stupid Kongregate.
