What I Played Today: October 30

Kongregate, Rock Band 3

Played a lot of Kongregate today, because they released a lot of games around Halloween, including a cute game in which you play a ghost who is trying to scare a bunch of people out of his house by possessing things and being scary. It’s neat, although I’m amazed how nonchalant the people are when the picture of a tree suddenly transformed into an atomic bomb mushroom cloud. Also a lot of other things I don’t remember, but I know that I didn’t play any “real” games, so there we go.

Also another evening of Rock Band 3, this time on the keyboards for a long while, in which I actually tried pro keys, which is ridiculously hard. It wouldn’t be too bad if it didn’t use the exact same method as the rest…I’ve played piano before, but having it appear as a downward flowing note, it’s difficult to do because you’re expected to play any of 18 buttons. Eighteen! Also some harmonies, which were fun. Some I got, some were just hard, and it’s nice to see that some of the songs have harmony support despite being released before the upgrade. That’s a nice touch, to know that they were planning it.
