Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
I actually played the single player campaign of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and it turned out to be pretty engrossing. I had to meet some guys and stab some guys, and eventually unlocked some major locations that each give out quests of their own. (There are so many quests. The game doesn’t have a plot as it has a lot of side plots, which I’m perfectly fine with.)
One of the quests was super weird, in which I was told that the matron of the brothel had been kidnapped, and I should go to pay the ransom. Hey, I’m a nice guy, I’ll go do that. So I get there and hand over the money, and the kidnappers say “FUCK IT!”, slice the hostage’s throat and charge headfirst into my sword. What the hell, guys? I was giving you what you wanted! Why you gotta be such jerks? But it all turned out okay, because Ezio’s sister and mother decided they would run the brothel instead, which means now Ezio can NEVER use their services. Thanks a lot, Mom.
There was also this odd quest in which I went back in time and remembered Ezio’s misadventures as a young kid who just wanted to talk to a pretty girl, so he stalked her through the street and punched out the person who planned to rape her. It’s a little weird that Ezio would start remembering stuff that happened 20 years ago without any real motivation, but now I’m dang intrigued.
