What I Played Today: November 21

Skyrim

I started playing Skyrim, and I like it a lot! I had to play a kittycat*, but it's still pretty fun. The interface works really well, the individual lives of the NPCs are intriguing, I'm not really all that excited about the main plot about dragons, but other than that, pretty good! I'm going sneaky/magic, because slash and bash is never my style, and magic is really interesting in this game, if expensive. After reporting to the Jarl, I tooled around town, killed a bandit leader (which was hard!), told some people to stop picking on some other people (I got to punch a bard, that was great), and at one point I broke into a house because I was asked to, and stole a couple of silver bars, which I cannot get rid of. I kinda don't want to be carrying these, but there is nowhere to sell them, and for some reason I can't buy a house yet.

Also went to Thief Town and got roped into doing some crime by some guy. "Hey buddy, why don't you steal something and put it in someone else's pocket, I'll cover for you." Yeah, sure, that's fine. Wait, you're giving me how much? I got paid more than that to get some bard to stop hitting on a lady! Don't be cheap.

*I was not in fact required to be a kittycat, but when I told the owner of the game I was going to play it, he jokingly set this requirement, and I know my role as the straight man.
