Assassin's Creed 3
Multiplayer is pretty great! Still the same business, but some interesting changes, like how the stun is now the X button as well, so you don't have to press a separate button to stop an assailant. Problematic if you're used to the old way, but a good change overall. I rocked in some team games, and did okay in some solo games. I'm really interested in the Wolfpack mode, which appears to be a cooperative mode, so...everyone who also bought this game, play it with me.
SPOILERS ABOUT THE SINGLE PLAYER AHOY!
So, back to Haytham and his bullshit. He is apparently lovestruck and hunting down the lady he saw that one time, and goes into the snowy wilderness to find her. The snow animations are actually pretty neat, as Haytham makes huge dumb steps in the snow. I also like that you can interact with pretty much any animal you come across, including turkeys! That's great.
Anyway, after a wolf fight (fuck wolves), Haytham managed to get the pretty Native American girl, named Ziio (isn't that really close to Ezio?), to talk to him by promising her murder. Now, when you meet Ziio, you can read her profile in the database, and I did, because this woman is obvious the mother of the main character. So I read it, and then I noticed something, which I will get to in a paragraph.
So, Haytham murders his friend in the army because a girl told him to, and he gains an eternal ally in Charles Lee (Yah Lee). Ziio takes Haytham to the same wall that Desmond encountered at the start of the game, and because Haytham didn't have an Apple to unlock it, he couldn't get through and had to settle with some sex instead. Then Haytham goes back to his meeting place and talks with his bros, and suggests that Lee should join the Order. So they go through the rites and give Lee a ring, and tell him that is now a member of the Templars. (!!!)
YEAH! I know! Haytham was a member of the Templars the entire time! I absolutely love this plot twist, even though I figured it out after reading Ziio's database entry. But it's good to know that the sides are so fluid, that one of Desmond's ancestors was working for the other team at one point. Anyway, Desmond gets mad and punches his dad, because of course he does, and now we are on to Connor proper, which starts with him as a child playing hide-and-seek, and Lee reappears as a proper villain, just a real dick. This is good because I knew I was going to have to kill him and his sweet mustache from pretty much the moment I saw him. The game is afoot, as they say.
