What I Played Today: November 3

Pathfinder

I finally went back to the Pathfinder group after just missing a bunch of sessions, and it's a good thing I did, because they were going to kill off my character oh no! But I was there, and I think I finally have a better idea who my character is, although I was still a bit frustrated with how often we seem to get off-track. I want to play the game, guys.

But anyway, turns out the crew is on a mission to shut down a crapton more altars of death, and we get to this fishing town where they can't fish anymore because all their mermaid friends are murdering them. After a bit of discussion of what to do exactly, and meeting an old drunk sailor who, for some reason, we tied to the trunk of a tree instead of just taking him home, we paddle out to this coral reef and fight some mermaids. I was against killing any mermaids, so I used color spray on them to make them pass out and go away. Yeah me.

Then, because I was the only one who thought to actually have waterbreathing cast on me when we were going to the ocean, I dove in and found the mermaid city, where apparently the bad guy was. So after finally getting everyone else waterbreathing, we travel down into the ocean and go into an underwater mansion. It is full of traps. Underwater traps.

After fighting a tentacle monster and the big bad in a series of fights that seem to kinda forget we are underwater? Anyway, we take care of this guy and get him to surrender and tell us stuff, like why the mermaids are murdering people. Turns out they are diseased, so we just have to undisease them and everything will be fine. Then I notice this ladder. I climb up and find a bunch of gold, and the rogue wants to take all of it, and suddenly I think, "Wait, this is the mermaid's mansion. Isn't that their money?" And it caused a huge damn argument. Eventually we promise not to steal it and turns out the mermaids gave us an even better reward, so no harm no foul, but man. Then even more talking, and I decided I have roleplayed enough and went home.
