Mass Effect 3
More Mass Effect 3, and things are really heating up! I think! It is tough being exciting about a nine-month-old game. Anyway, my exploits are mildly spoiler-y, so I'm going to hid this behind a jump.....now.
So anyway, most of the action happened on Tuchanka, the Krogan homeworld. Somehow I ended up with four missions there, so I went and knocked those out. Apparently the Turians had planted a giant bomb on the planet hundreds of years ago, and Cerberus are huge assholes so they are going to detonate the bomb and start a big war. (I think this has been covered when I last played this game months ago, but I'm really not sure what the hell Cerberus is even doing. Do they really think letting the Reapers win is in their best interest? Do they plan to hide?) So you help the Turians clean up their mess by deactivating it, and some son of some important guy dies. Sad.
Then it's time to cure the genophage, apparently! A lot of people don't want me to do it, some even tell me "Hey, listen, don't do this and we'll give you another spaceship." But I did it anyway. It was pretty cool, you drive up and then get lost in some ruins and apparently the Reapers are guarding the tower we need to use so we summon a goddamn thresher maw to eat the shit out of the reaper, it was kind of boss. But things were still exploding for some reason, and Mordin sacrificed himself to cure the genophage, it was pretty sad. I'll miss you, Mordin.
