What I Played Today: January 2

Frobisher Says, Retro City Rampage

I played a bit of Frobisher Says, because I thought maybe the lighting was just right that I could do it properly. I don't know, still kind of ridiculous, and for some reason the game assumes that I can easily stand up and swivel around the room? I can't do that, Frobisher Says. It's late. I'm tired.

Also, I can now get video games for free, and one of them is Retro City Rampage! Which is a ridiculous parody game. It lays the parody on extremely thick. In the first ten minutes, we get Mega Man, Dark Knight bank robbery, Frogger, Ninja Turtles, A-Team, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures, blowing in NES cartridges, Back to the Future, Super Mario Bros 2, and Inception, and jeez it might be a little too much. And half of the references don't make any sense. For example, at the end of a mission, suddenly the main character is asleep and dreaming about killing things with rockets? Why on Earth am I shooting things with rockets? It makes no narrative sense. It's just there to make more references. Oh god, this thing might be Family Guy.
