What I Played Today: March 13

Fantasy Life

Once more into the Fantasy Life hole. Getting expert is actually pretty easy now; I'm strong enough to take on the bad guys I need to, and I can buy all the materials I need in the store if I need to, although it is a bit expensive.

I did the next stage of the story, which involved going to the desert and fighting the dark sultan, who turned out to be a sulky kid who just wants peace and love all over the world. He's just CALLED the Dark Sultan, you see, and also his mom is being a bit of a jerk. But after fighting a dragon and finding out that the assumed dead dad was in fact okay the entire time (and maybe a ghost?) everyone decided that it's time to be cool. Although this character did show up literally out of nowhere and stole something and that has not been addressed or even mentioned, so I imagine that will be revealed in the next story bit. Oh, and it's the butterfly's sister, because this thing is not very subtlely written.

I also did the hardest thing I've had to do in the game, which happened to be mining a big dumb rock. I could only hit for about 2-3 damage, so I was eventually running out of spirit, and then found to my dismay that the rock was healing over time! So it took some finagling of equipment and some quick potion use, but I managed to take it down! It was strangely satisfying.
