Dark Souls
Oh man Dark Souls really clicked today! So...I tried the run up to the big bad goat demon a couple more times, only for nothing of any worth to happen, when suddenly I stopped and took a look around and realized there was a section that I missed! And in that section, there is a merchant! Who can sell me better gear! So I do some grinding, figure out a couple of strategies to deal with some jerk skeletons I don't like (It involves running in a big dumb circle around them until they get bored, try to stab me, and then I kill them), and get myself a scimitar, which is a fast weapon that kicks ass.
So, now properly geared and possessing a few key items that I probably really need, I give a couple of tries at the goat demon, and after a few unsuccessful attempts, including one where he knocked off a goddamn cliff, and I managed to dodge and scrimp enough and defeat him! Hurray! I can move on!
So I do, find a bridge with a dragon on it, and create a shortcut so I can go off onto the next difficult section of the game, which has a few poisonous rats in it, and a skeleton with a cape! There was also this big dumb dog in full armor, who I killed by running away constantly, and then stabbing him just...just straight through the butt a couple of times. Listen, I'm not happy that's how I killed it, but I did, and it's gone forever, so let's forget about that armor dog now.
