What I Played Today: August 18

Shop Heroes

Do you guys remember the saga of the Swords and Potions thing? In which the rights of the game were apparently sold to a company, but eventually the original owner acquired it back and started doing a few updates, which were, frankly, few and far between? Were you curious what that first company was up to? Would you believe that they released a similar game? Because they did!

It's called Shop Heroes, in which you continue to improve your store and learn new recipes overtime and etc. There are a few clear differences; one is that your customers never leave until they are satisfied, so there's no day/night cycle. The quests are handled differently, as they only give special ingredients and they can be gone on much more frequently, and for some terrible reason it costs money to change your workers. The workers also have two skills instead of one, and some recipes require multiple skills, so figuring out just which workers you need is kind of difficult to tell right now. Oh, and there's an immediate benefit to helping upgrade the city, which is kinda nice! Most of the time that benefit is useless, but whatever, it's the thought that counts.

Anyway, yeah, I'll keep trying this out for a while.
