Final Fantasy XIII
I failed to write anything over the weekend, so quick recap. Played in the Descent Campaign - the Heroes are kicking ass, which has frustrated the Overlord a bit. Hopefully we can adjust the game so that he can start having fun too. Once we get our ass handed to us by a lieutenant, I’m sure things will come about, but we are very powerful in the dungeons at the moment.
Yesterday I played a smattering of games, all of which were not very interesting, and so I didn’t write anything at all. Nothing more to note.
Today, though, today I got somewhere in Final Fantasy. Some major crises were resolved, some things I already knew were outright stated, and the fights just get more interesting...if a little long in the tooth. The enemies are getting more difficult and stronger, which means each fight is now taking three or four minutes while I’m trying to survive against the monsters. The only problem being that if I switch classes to get a supporter on the field...that’s time in which I’m not doing damage to the monsters. And I got to keep doing damage or my stagger meter will reset. It’s a bit of a pain, and I could really use three assholes on the field already. This two man party nonsense is getting old.
But the cinematics are really good, and I like that there isn’t a lot of the story that’s being needlessly kept a mystery. Sure, there are very big parts that don’t make sense, but frankly, that’s reasonable. And...I don’t have much else to say about it today.
