Legends of Norrath
I had been thinking about a particular CCG for the past couple of days. That game was Legends of Norrath. It’s an electronic game tied to Everquest, which, to my amazement, is still up and running! So I downloaded the client again only to find that they had sent me another starter pack! Hurray! I played through the tutorial again to remember how to play...there are two ways to win, either complete four quests or deal a significant amount of damage to your opponent. You get a few card types; items, abilities, creatures...and frankly, it’s a pretty clever game.
I played through the tutorial again to try and remember how to play, and played some scenarios. That’s the best part of the card game, that there are campaigns for each expansion, which allow you to fight against the latest cards in the expansion and get some unique rewards to add to your own deck. I couldn’t remember which cards I had, so I tried the new starter they gave me. It isn’t very good...mainly because the avatar for the deck is neutral with a pretty poor ability, so it can’t use some of the class-specific cards. But I still won a match or two, which is great. But...that’s about it.
