Gemcraft: Labyrinth, Rift
Lot of sitting, played a lot of Gemcraft, clearing out the second epic field. One mildly cool part during that map is that the water will suddenly fill with shadows, the screen will shake, and suddenly the next seven waves are a lot stronger than they were a minute ago. Surprising, although it didn’t happen again, which was a bit disappointing. Well, I guess it wouldn’t be a surprise at that point.
Also more Rift, as I moved on to a new zone and continue to kill people for the sake of killing. Because I hadn’t played in a while, I leveled up pretty quickly, and I’m closing on the ending stages. I do think I need to join a guild though, because there is so much going that requires some form of cooperation. But who would be willing to rush through early dungeons to complete very old quests with me? How funny is it that one of the dungeons is called “King’s Breach?” If one of the NPCs in the dungeon doesn’t stutter like a madman, I for one will be disappointed that they refuse to dip their toes in the low-brow not-actually-funny humor that MMOs are famous for. And considering they have a quest called “Boarpedo,” they obviously aren’t taking the high ground to begin with.
