Persona 3 Portable
I was bored and so I picked up Persona 3 Portable again, and holy jumping jesus I had forgotten how good this game looks. It just is so clear and clean and not at all what I expect from a three-year-old handheld platform, considering just how bad everything on the DS looks. I had nearly forgotten what I was up to, something about the end of the world, and so I jumped in the dungeon and started killing dudes, and it turns out I was five floors from the top, after which the ending sequence will trigger in about three weeks of gametime, which gives me plenty of time to level and check out the brand new door.
One boss that I completely forgot about is the asshole on the 252th floor who is immune to everything one can be immune to. So, you either have to cast the really expensive almighty damage spells, or cast the really expensive break spells to allow you to actually damage him with the regular methods. Luckily, I brought just the right crew that actually had the break spells and allowed me to sidebuff in cases where someone couldn’t do any damage. So that stupid jerk went down, and now I just have to wait until the Avatar of Death decides to show up. It is an interesting game where you have to WAIT for the final boss to show up. “I’ll be there in two weeks, guys. Sorry, I just gave notice today, I have a prior commitment that I just can’t back out of.”
