Deadly Premonition
I played a lot of Deadly Premonition today, on the request of a friend who reminded me it exists. It's still goofy, and I still like it a lot. I shouldn't like it, because there is not a lot about it that looks good. The graphics are patchy and leaning towards awful, and it controls pretty poorly. But the story is compelling, and you want to see how Francis York Morgan handles each new problem, mainly because he doesn't act normal. Most games err on the side of making the main character so bland and pointless that you're just kinda pushing him through the story and he gets no real say, but Agent Morgan is a character who would be quirky in any other story, and here he's the main character. It's pretty interesting.
I also managed to score a bottomless machine gun, which will make the combat a lot easier.
