What I Played Today: August 14

Dominion, Rune Age

Played a game of Dominion because I haven't in a while. I just kept falling more and more behind, trying to keep up with Goons, but it was no good. I did buy a lot of estates though, which in retrospect was a pretty silly idea.

Rune Age with two people is a slightly different experience, as you have an enemy stealing resources from you. I was in the worst spot, because I started off slow in the resource build-up stage and so I couldn't keep up, and by the time I may have gotten my hands on some good cards, they were already gone. After a few rounds with a dragon, I was five points from death, and my opponent cut me out of the game. This turned out to be a mistake though, as it kept him from winning as well. It's a weird dynamic, really, and I'm not sure how much of it I like. There's just not enough space here.
