What I Played Today: August 18

Rift, Pocket Academy

Dobedoop, played some Rift. Pretty sure I was doing daily quests. I'm always doing goddamn daily quests, because the only interesting thing they could think of for level 50's working solo to do is try to build up their reputation with various factions. Frankly, I'm more interested in getting Plaques of the Mountaineers, the only purpose of which is to buy a parka. I want a parka, and it's going to take me another two weeks to get one. Amazing.

Also, jumped into my time machine to tell you that I've also been playing Pocket Academy, and it's mildly enjoyable. It's kinda cute, although hard to balance your money at first. But after a few years, you'll eventually pull in that good tuition money, and it's pretty neat that every once in a while, a couple will form in your school. The tension of those few seconds when the other student considers accepting or not, oh man. But yeah, it's a long game, meant to be played in starts and fits, so I'm not anywhere close to finishing a game.
