Police Precinct, Bang!, The Walking Dead Card Game
I got a new co-op, Police Precinct, in which you are all cops who are trying to find a murderer while also deal with all the usual nonsense that comes with being a cop, dealing with disasters, arresting random thugs before they form gangs, etc. The game has a nice weird chemistry to it, with all the things you have to deal with and trying to make sure all your resources are being used properly. The game kind of got away from us after a bit, as emergencies just build up over time and there is not enough time to deal with all of them. It also seemed like the auto accidents always seemed to happen when they were guaranteed to trap someone so they couldn't move. We found all the clues to find the killer but crime got too out of control that we lost just when I was about ready to arrest the guy. Curses.
Also a game of Bang!, which I always thought I wasn't a fan of, and it turns out I was right. Not a fan! I was also tired, and people were taking way too long to make a decision that should be really easy to make ("Just shoot someone!"), and I really don't like that the Sheriff is a known entity from the beginning and the outlaws can just gang up on them without even trying.
Then played the Walking Dead card game, which ends up being good because it has nothing to do with the Walking Dead. It's a re-implementation of a really simple card game in which the deck has cards 1-104. There are four rows of cards, and on your turn, you have to choose a card in your hand of 10 to add to the rows. You can only add to a row if the card you played is higher, and a row can't have more than five cards. If you break these rules, you have to take a row, and those points count against you. Whoever has the fewest points at the end wins. Now, there are some weird things like certain arbitrary cards being worth 7 points or whatever, but it's good filler! That happens to have pictures of gross zombies on it!
