What I Played Today: July 21-25

Final Fantasy XIV

Just taking my life five days at a time; five days of playing Final Fantasy XIV and nothing else, never anything else, why would I play any other game?

Oh wait! Rocket League

I also played Rocket League for a good ten minutes. I didn't get it immediately, and frankly once I did get it it's just soccer with cars, so...screw it!

Anyway, I made an effort to get to level 15 in every crafting class, and I did! I found a good cheap way to level and make some progress, as the Grand Company offers a quest for each crafting guild every day, which gives some good experience for that class as well as a handful of seals, which I can use to get a bunch of gear that I don't have easy access to. Win win.

I also got to level 30 in my primary class, which allows me to become a Monk, which grants me access to...a single ability, which isn't that good. I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of monk-specific stuff later, but I am currently not that impressed. I also made a good deal of story progress, saving some fairies from a giant spider in a dungeon where I missed the boss fight because I didn't skip the cutscene, and also helping out some refugees or whatever. I don't know, I'm still having fun, I'm going to have to start a subscription soon.
