What I Played Today: March 25

Lost Legacy, Red7, Pairs, Trivia

I went to a bar trivia night at a place that KINDA counts as a bar. I mean, they have five beers! What do you mean five beers is not enough? What do you mean you don't like beer? Anyway, it went already, we were leading into the halfway point because we nailed the current events section, and then the sports round happened. Rest in peace, sports section.

Also played a lot of little games, like Lost Legacy, which nobody ever seems to like, Red7, which grows on people really well, and Pairs, which nobody understood. A good time was enjoyed by about 33% of all participants!

Trivia

I guess there was trivia tonight, but only one other person bothered to show up, so we did horribly. That happens.

What I Played Today: June 17

Trivia

We got third place in trivia. Good for us! I cannot wait until I have Internet again because I have the Guild Wars 2 Jones.

Trivia

We went to Trivia, and we won Trivia. We are the Trivia Kings. Actually winning took a lot longer than we thought. We were tied for first, so we had to do a sudden death round...only to get most of those questions wrong and having to do a second sudden death thing. But it was cool to win! Now we have to figure out how to split a $25 gift card six ways!

Trivia

Went to trivia tonight. I am not sure why I count this as a game, exactly. I guess because we keep score? I mean, that's a good reason, right?

What I Played Today: April 24

Trivia

Ended up going to a different Trivia night than my usual trivia night. I like my usual trivia night better, but this was alright. There was a fun round in which you had to guess the name of a "fake band," and the show/movie it came from, and there was a deeeeep cut with "Killer Tofu," by The Beets from the TV show Doug. I cannot believe that I remembered that.

Trivia, Super House of Dead Ninjas

Went to Trivia night, we didn't win. But I apparently know a great deal about llamas and snakes. LLAMAS AND SNAKES.

Also did a run of Super House of Dead Ninjas, killed a bunch of ninjas, but still can't managed to get down to the basement. It's weird, when I start at the top, I can go through two bosses or so, but when I start near the bottom, I barely am able to defeat the boss. ODD.

What I Played Today: February 25

Trivia, EVE Online

We have started going to trivia again! Going to Trivia ends up being quite expensive for me, and we never ever win. Stupid sports rounds.

Also trying to figure out EVE Online. Just...trying to understand it. What is going on?! Why did I spend so much trying to get another stupid spaceship? What the hell are certificates? Why does someone rip me off?

Trivia, Guild Wars 2

I went to Trivia. We did not do well. I do not know football.

Guild Wars 2 had a cool update, which changed how daily acheivement work, and since I like doing daily achievements, I was glad to hear it. Now I get a cool little token when I complete the daily achievements, which I can turn in for cool shit, or, if I want, a cat wearing a bowler. Either works! Some of the things I was required to do was kinda dumb, though, like dodge 15 attacks. I do not dodge attacks. Why would I bother? Well...I should bother because it's an easy way not to take damage and die, so there's that. But anyway, Guild Wars Guild Wars Guild Wars.

Trivia, Guild Wars 2

Got a big group together, went to play Trivia at the local bar. We were off to a bad start when we flubbed the audio round and were asked to name Martin Scorcese's last ten films, but did pretty well in the last couple of rounds, especially the movie round, and manage tied for third. We were asked who wrote Anna Karinina, and I got my Russian authors mixed up and thought it was Dostoyefsky, but since all the answers were constellations, we put his first name as Leo. The scoretaker thought this answer was so funny that he gave us the point anyway. Also of note, Candace Bergen played Murphy Brown.

Then I played some more Guild Wars 2. There is so many zones. I managed to find a good three more while I was screwing around.

Trivia Night

I went to Trivia Night at a local bar tonight. All by myself. And I still got second place, because I'm that smart. Go me.

Trivia Night

Hey, I went to a trivia night for some reason. We didn't win, and I managed to spill Coke all over my leg. It was actually pretty fun, although our team kept breaking apart as the night wore on, and it really showed in the end, when we only got three answers right in the last round after doing so well before. It just wore on us, and the last set was really tough. But I would consider doing it again, with a group that was more set to play. Need to tag in a serious sports guy though, because those questions flummoxed everyone.
