Welcome

I play a lot of games. If I’m not eating, traveling, or pretending to work, I’m probably playing a game or wishing I was playing a game. And there’s no limit to what I play; console games, computer games, tabletop games, card games, web games, roleplaying games; basically, if it has the potential to hold my interest, I’ll throw in for at least an hour, and possibly much, much more.

Realizing that I play so many damn games, I thought that I should really record what I’m playing from day to day; for posterity, but also because there’s lot to say about gaming. There are mechanics that seem pervasive throughout, aesthetic choices that help or hurt the game, experiences to be commented on, just a plethora of stuff that’s going to jump out of my head if I don’t talk about it right away. So join me in this quest to talk about what I’m playing on any given day. Most regular updates will happen around midnight or later PST (making the title just a little disingenuous, but whatever), but other features will be available after I get into the groove of things.

Also, for mention’s sake, I do write reviews from time to time for www.talkingaboutgames.com, and any reviews I’m working for them get dibsies, i.e., I won’t mention any games I’m reviewing until after the review is up. There are also some games that I’m playing every day out of the nature of the game, and I’m just going to ignore them for now.
