What I Played Today: November 1

Minecraft, (disclosed)

I purchased Minecraft today, because the new update looked really good, and I couldn’t think of a good reason why I hadn’t yet. I started on the ground next to a large mountain, with only my angry little fists. I had forgotten how to craft, so I spent some time screwing around, looking for interesting stuff like flowers or whatever, and I ended up on top of the mountain, digging a small hole for my home when the sun set, and I found myself without any torches, and no ways to make any. So I sat in the dark for ten minutes, hoping things didn’t spawn in my little room. After I was sure the sun was up, I broke down my barricade and was immediately being bitten by spiders. “What the?” I exclaimed, and fell off my mountain. Luckily I didn’t die, and the spiders finally got a dose of lifedraining sunlight, apparently they were cozy in the shade outside my home. But eventually I got the goods to get some torches burning, and some glass installed so that I could see outside to know exactly when the sun was up, and stopped playing the second night. Don’t know what my objective is this time…guess I’ll just try and see.

Also, I haven’t mentioned it, but I have a review game that I’ve been working on, and I’ve gotten a ways. I have no idea how far I’ve gotten because there’s no indicator and it hasn’t been released yet, but it is one linear game. Which would be fine if there were logical spots to decompress, but so far everywhere I’ve been has been on fire, so it’s mostly running for running’s sake.
