What I Played Today: September 18

Rift, Trackmania, Puzzle Pirates

Rift and Trackmania, about the same as usual, nothing to really talk about. BUT, I had installed Puzzle Pirates on my computer for some reason, probably because I remember playing the crap out of it six years ago (6!), and wanted to see how it was going. It's...still going. It looks about the same, although they have added like six or seven more puzzles (so, I guess a year a puzzle?), all of which I couldn't play because they were locked to being playable once a day unless you spent money. But I did try to get back up to steam, found they hadn't really changed anything, so that's odd. Everything looks the same, all the puzzles work the same as I remember, and I am just so unsure what to think. Maybe I'll log in again, who knows.

Oh, one weird thing, they didn't ask me to create an account. I guess it just took all my info from my Steam account? Maybe I should try another free-to-play, see if it works the same way.

  1. Champions Online does not pull from Steam info. It demands its own account, and Steam just launches the Champions launcher. The only other free-to-play title on Steam I've played is Team Fortress 2, which is an entirely different kettle of fish, although much more fun than being a superhero and beating people up (!)
