What I Played Today: September 24

Rift, Harvest Moon: Animal Parade

I did a lot of PvP in Rift today, buying a near full set of the PvP armor with my extra favor to make me a bit more competitive in that space. It was real easy to duck in and out of games, so that went well. I have determined that I absolutely hate one of the capture-the-flag arenas because it has a stupid ruleset and is also absurdly large for its purpose, so I’m vowed never to play that one again. That’s something I can do. Who says I can’t?

Also put in a lot of time with Animal Parade. I have rung the next two bells, after performing a stupid segment in which I have to make five fish fall down a bit to hit some notes to play a song, and that requires me to roll a duck egg down a hill and send a rare black pearl into some…look, it was dumb. They might as well have told me “Yeah, I can give you the thing you need, but first I need these objects. Don’t fucking ask why.” At least then I wouldn’t have been bothered by the stupidity of this plot. But now that those are rung, I can go to a new island (with three whole people living there) and buy the good seeds, and nearly everyone is back in town again, so that’s neat. Now I just need to work to ring that last bell, which’ll take some cornmeal and butter, and we’ll see what happens next.

Oh, couple of other things. The circus is in town, and they’ve lost like all their dumb animals. They are apparently hiding the town, and I need to give them food in order to get them to rejoin the circus. Of course, the food in question is really hard to find, so who knows when I’ll complete that quest. I also made it to the top and bottom of the Garmon mines, and found some power berries, which increased my stamina bar length. That’s exciting.
