Agricola, Spy Party
Welcome back everyone! Anyway, I managed to sell off a lot of my collection in an auction, which allowed me to filling some holes that I had, including Agricola, which I had lost years ago and now have again. I also bought up the expansion decks they had, which adds some interesting options. I played a few games by myself, because I’m a nerd, and was doing quite well until the third game, in which I couldn’t keep up the pace. I like the solo campaign, but it depends greatly on getting the right occupations into play and keeping them. Some of them have great value if you have them from the beginning, but for those that activate in round 8 or higher…you tend to rush things that don’t matter. I don’t know, I’m glad I have this game again, hope to complete a full campaign eventually.
I also got to try some games of Spy Party, which is pretty cool, even though I don’t know how to be good at this yet. My spy games either ended in getting shot for being obvious, or running out of time because I was trying not to be obvious. I won a sniper game, but I still don’t know the tells yet. I’m still glad I got into the beta; I love deception games, and this one offers a very isolated experience, which is nice. Just 1-on-1 is very interesting.
