What I Played Today: October 26

Lords of Waterdeep, Cargo Noir

Played some board games, which apparently takes a lot of effort, considering how much effort I had to go through to get someone to play with me. First was Lords of Waterdeep, which was about as fun as I remember. Quests and stuff. I don't think I did so well, but I didn't do super poorly either. But I just didn't do enough quests, and wasted a lot of time building buildings that I didn't need.

Then a game of Cargo Noir, which is basically a set collection game in which you try to get cargo by bidding on spaces and turning them in for cards. Easy peasy. I won by virtue of sneaking in a few good cargos and saving up for a final turn binge. Some players managed to get themselves trapped a couple rounds before it was over by not insuring they had enough money. Interesting.
