AR Tonelico
Another obscure RPG arrived from Gamefly today, and once again I am starting to curse the slow burn of the RPG. The game started slow and didn’t explain nearly anything, and it started throwing around a lot of terms that I just didn’t get. Apparently this sky city that some people live on is suddenly under attack, and our main idiot is a knight to some lady without a face, and they can’t defeat the viruses, so instead they send the MC to the land below to get the MacGuffin, even though my first thought is, “There’s no way he could get it and back before the viruses kill absolutely everyone.” So he’s shoved into an airship, which is shot out of the sky by some random monster, and crashes, and we’re suddenly in an idyllic land that has clerics with lady slaves, and I’m beyond confused.
Also, the voice acting isn’t very good. I typically don’t balk at voice acting unless they are noticeably inappropriate, but I just felt off whenever the main character talked, especially since the majority of his lines were just shouting some lady’s name. Nobody says someone’s name that often.
