La Tale
It was a long damn day, so I didn’t have much time to play anything. In a bout of being kinda dumb, I found the install file of a free RPG on my desktop, so I installed it and tried it out. My first thought was that it was neat there was a little story beforehand. It didn’t make any sense, but that was cool. Then, my second thought was “Oh hell, it’s exactly like Maple Story, only worse.” The controls are stiff and can’t be reassigned, the dialogue windows are laid out awfully, and there are some items that drop that can only be used when you spend real money, which is terrible.
Mostly, I was seeing how long I can stay interested in the game, which is about to level 5. I can just see that the game would be nothing but more of the same, wandering around and punching cute things for no reason. There seemed to be interesting things like puzzle pieces and skills and I just fell asleep. Free MMOs just don’t do it for me, and I still don’t know why I even downloaded it.
The only amusing part was that there was a dancing robot in the town square telling everyone not to be scammed. It was adorable in its blatantness, constantly shouting out to not give out your password and to know that GMs aren’t just guys who say they’re GMs. Man, people who play free MMOs must be stupid.
