What I Played Today: August 21

Persona 3 Portable, (to be reviewed), Billy Vs. Snakeman

More playing of the game that cannot be named, it still proves to be pretty good, although I’m running into a lot of glitches. There was one point in which I got locked between a set of spikes right when the game saves, meaning that I was stuck and had to start the level over. Boo. That shouldn’t happen. But I imagine there’s going to be a mostly positive review from this.

I also played some more Persona 3, gotten to the top of the tower...again. There are so many fake-outs in this game. Well, at least it’s not as bad as Persona 4 in terms of fake-outs; the game will actually try to make you quit about two or three times. Anyway, I had forgotten that a major character moment doesn’t happen during the full moon, when I assumed it did, but that’s about all I’ve gotta say. Hopefully I can stop leveling for the sake of leveling here pretty soon.

And while I rarely talk about it because I play the game every day, I must comment on Billy Vs. Snakeman, which continues to be consistently awesome with its content. They recently added BillyCon, a weekend event in which your character goes to an anime convention, and has to balance his sleep level, his food, his smell, and how everyone at the con views them in order to get some good deals on stuff and participate in video game competitions, cosplay, and raves. It’s an interesting concept, with a lot of space to grow, as each time you go to the con, your skills increase, making it easier to get more out of the event. The fact that you can’t go very often and only on specific days makes it something that I’m going to look forward to.
