Persona 3 Portable
I am a man of habits, to say the least. Nothing new to report, just playing as a lady. I read a nice write-up about the experience from a journalist, how playing the female character felt like a completely different experience because the way you acted suddenly took on a different light, that girls are raised and expected to act differently.
I am getting some weird cases where everyone is acting a little sexist, especially Junpei, who has used the “But she’s a girl!” line about three times now, and has finally been called on it by the strong-willed female leader, who stated that if he was going to continue to be a dick, well, he wasn’t going to have one anymore. Okay, she didn’t say that, but it was strongly implied, and he quickly apologized. Encounters with him are also a bit weird, as he will take you to do stuff he wants to do for his social links, and the best way to get along with him is to go along with it and be a bit of a tomboy. I do like that Yukari, the token chick, is much more sympathetic now, because she is a bit annoying with a male PC.
Oh, here’s the article I read. I like Leigh’s writing a lot, and I dislike that she’s treating like a black sheep among the gaming community. Some people are such dicks just because they can’t imagine not having one.
Man, that’s two bad dick jokes today. Sorry everybody!
